How to Create Beautiful and Elegant HTML Lists Using CSS

Lists can be a great way to communicate individualized bits of information.. if the typography, padding, and margins are formatted properly. If formatted improperly, lists end up looking out of place, confused, and ultimately just a piece of clutter on the page.

Check out Konstruktors Notes How to Create Beautiful and Elegant HTML Lists Using CSS to learn how to make lists usable and attractive for users.

FCKeditor - The Text Editor for the Internet

FCKeditor is an awesome, free, web-based rich text editor (RTE).  It’s cross-browser compliant, and comes in all kinds of server-side flavours to suit just about any project:

  • ASP.Net
  • ASP
  • ColdFusion
  • PHP
  • Java
  • Active-FoxPro
  • Lasso
  • Perl
  • Python

It’s also very, very easy to integrate into a page (check out the PHP integration guide here), and there’s lots of documentation to help you on your way.  Overall it’s a great tool to have in your belt for creating your own CMS, blogging system etc.

Launchy - The Open Source Keystroke Launcher for Windows

Check out this great application launcher for Windows that’s similar to Spotlight for Mac. Although launching a program by navigating the start menu only takes a few seconds, those seconds add up for the dozens of times a day you’re hunting down your frequented applications.  By using a keystroke launcher like Launchy, you can save time and effort simply by typing in the first few characters of the app, or, set up your own shortcuts.  Using the included - and awesome - “Runner” plugin, I’ve set up shortcuts to frequented applications like dreamweaver, so I can now launch it simply by activating Launcy, typing ‘dw’ and pressing enter.

Check out launchy now!

Congratulations to the Graduating Class of 2008

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to congratulate everyone who graduated from the IAP program this spring, and wish you all the best of luck with your futures. Hopefully we can meet up at some point in the near future and catch up on how things are going for everyone.

To everyone in co-op, good luck this summer and in your next work term this fall! See you Spring 2009 for the final semester!

It’s time we re-united :)

Hi Co-op students and Level 4 students,

Some of us from Level 4 have decided it’s time to organize a get together for those who are now in co-op and for those who will be graduating this year/were part of Level 1 in September 2006. The last level 4 exam will be on April 25, 2008.

If you have any ideas of what we should do, just comment here and see what other people have to say.

It’s time we re-united! :)

PHP - Lesson 3 (November 28th, 2007)

PowerPoint slides and examples all in one archive.

using System.Net.Mail;

Seeing how our ASP.net book doesn’t say anything about System.Net.Mail,

I found this great resource with information: http://www.systemnetmail.com

You may also be interested in the differences between System.Web.Mail and System.Net.Mail, so take a look at the following website
